Sam Davies

Chair of Queen Edith's Community Forum

Sam moved to Cambridge as a university student and stayed on in the city after graduation, working in the ICT sector.  She has had a front-row seat at the rise of 'Silicon Fen' and the transformation of the city into the fastest-growing economy in the UK. In 2015, she became chair of the Queen Edith's Community Forum, the neighbourhood association for the area around the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

Queen Edith's is at the centre of the acute pressures on housing and transport which are the by-product of the Cambridge Phenomenon and Sam is brokering new ways of working with developers to accommodate growth and change while protecting the quality of life of existing residents.
